Road work may cause delays

A road construction project near campus may cause delays for visitors to our Veterinary Hospitals.

A city of Gainesville project to resurface Southwest 16th Avenue near the College of Veterinary Medicine is currently ongoing. The project has multiple phases and includes installing new mast arm traffic signals at the intersections of Southwest 16th Avenue and Southwest 13th Street, and Southwest 16th Avenue and Archer Road, adding bike lanes and installing streetscaping.

Construction will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and we expect various day- and night-time closures that are likely to change as the construction moves through its various stages. No lane closures will be permitted on major holidays or the weekends of home football games.

Information on roadway traffic and lane closures can be found at http://gac-smartraffic.com
