Consultation Request Schedule and Guidelines

Due to a high volume of scheduled surgeries, consultation requests will be accepted on a limited schedule to ensure timely, high-quality care for all patients.

Consultation Request Schedule (The portal will remain open for at least 24 hours beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET on the dates listed below):
– March 31
– April 27

Please Note: For congenital heart cases involving interest in open-heart surgery, please contact us directly. These cases do not need to be submitted through the portal.

Important Requirements and Guidelines:

– Referring Veterinarian Only: Consultation requests must be submitted by the referring veterinarian.
– Echocardiogram Requirement: An echocardiogram performed by a board-certified cardiologist is required prior to submission.
– Recommended Pre-Submission Testing: We strongly recommend completing an abdominal ultrasound and full bloodwork before submitting a request to support a comprehensive case review.
– Submission Guidance: To streamline the process, please use the attached link as a reference to ensure all required information is included, such as owner and clinic details, patient history, bloodwork, echocardiogram results, and any other relevant documentation.
