Have you found a wild animal? According the the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the best course of action is to leave the animal alone. Removing wild animals from their natural habitat may do more harm than good!
If you come across wildlife you think may be injured or orphaned, you should note the location and contact a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator in your area.
If you cannot reach a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator, you can also contact the appropriate FWC Regional Office for assistance.
The University of Florida Small Animal Hospital accepts wild birds from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week. Please see the map below for wild avian resources in your area.
