How to make an appointment

When you call, a scheduling staff member will assist you. If it is not possible to keep a scheduled appointment, please contact the scheduling staff at least 24 hours in advance. If you are going to arrive late, please contact the scheduling staff as soon as possible.
Referring veterinarian
Referrals Are Not Required for Some Specialty Services*
A referral to the Small Animal Hospital can be requested by your veterinarian, but is not required to be seen by our veterinary clinicians for some of our specialty services.
*Specialty services that require a referral by your veterinarian include: Mitral Valve Surgery Consultation, Dentistry, Internal Medicine, and Oncology.
We will work closely with your veterinarian if they refer you and your pet to our facility.

Medical Records
If applicable, please have your pet’s veterinarian email records pertaining to the reason (diagnosis) for your appointment to smallanimal@ufl.edu.
Please note that we require a copy of your pet’s current vaccine records.
